Tangocamp will this year again include, apart from all of its excellent properties along the four countries: performances, workshops, milongas, highlights the seminar with Gustavo & Giselle.

For the first time in Sweden, we can now offer the Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne seminar "Deep Basic".  This seminar will consist of 16 teaching hours with Gustavo and Giselle. Thus, participants taking four hours of lessons per day for four days. They have considered that in this way is it possible for them to achieve a very high quality in the transfer of knowledge that every teacher-student relationship implies. We believe that this can be a good idea and fit many of our participants, so we decided to give them a place to try their famous workshop in Tangocamp. This seminar is very well established and well-liked. These seminars are often fully booked several months before the event.

Seminar "Deep Basics"

The Material will be a special program that contains a revision of the most important Argentine tango choreographic ideas, presented through combined sequences that we do consider them "interesting".

Why are we considering them "interesting combinations”? Because of two reasons:

1- These "combinations" are setting specific coordination problems and the solution notably helps to improve general dance control.

2- We truly believe these combinations have, in addition, a particular beauty, sometimes focused on the "shape", sometimes on “dynamics", sometimes on "structure".

The program will strive for 2 complete sequences of at least 3 important ideas each, per class. One of these sequences will be ample, will have big movements and changes in the distance of the embrace. The other one will have smaller movements, less or no change of the embrace’s distance, and lots of rhythm that means more socially danceable in a crowded milonga. Both sequences will require coordination, sensitivity, adjustment, etc.

Then, through these sequences we arrive to the detection and isolation of basic problems of the tango dance that are later deeply analyzed and studied. At the same time, the usage we are having of these elements within the sequence becomes an “example” always useful and applicable to other variations.

- The seminar costs 440 Euro per person and includes the milongas.

- The seminar with Gustavo and Giselle will be open for 30 couples.

- Deposit of 60 Euro must be done no later than 10 days after registration.

Gustavo & Giselles own description:

• We want to emphasize that these programs are pre-designed for advanced dancers. This is our understanding of an advanced program of dance: a program that deals with movements that require a high degree of coordination, through an in-depth analysis and organized study of every aspect of these movements. We also believe it is very important to reaffirm that we will continue with pre-planned curriculum independent of the general level of dancing in the group. If some of the dancers have problems with some parts of the program, we will try to provide individual support. But we will not reduce the level of difficulty of the program for other dancers, nor will we be able to slow down the program, but it continues as planned.

• These seminars should be of particular interest to dancers who teach, because we will focus on knowledge and understanding of dance, and its systematic composition. Through these seminars, the teachers with many years experience, teachers with little experience and those who want to become teachers, will enhance their teaching methods to improve the learning process for their students.

• Based on our experience, we understand that the learning process involves making a bet that is expected to make a profit, which means that the "expectations" is created. These expectations are often frustrated when you cannot reach the goals, as a result of a lack of knowledge of the basic principles of tango presents as a dance discipline. We believe that if you take up tango in this ultimate way to get a lot better, faster and more lasting learning process, regardless of one's own technical level.
